Distant Dead Worlds

I fiddle a specific photo around in photoshop that I took a picture of from the Nor(th) Cal cosplay event, because it was my favorite composition out of all of them. I like the mimminalistic feel of this picture and it looked like a movie poster.

I am so going to miss having Raven-Symoné in class as she is going online next semester, but will be back in the spring. Our last day we exchanged our portraits and hugged each other. It was a real blessing to be in this class and try alot of things and interesting to hang out with her when I got the chance.See ya next Spring raven.

YES PREORDER FOR THIS COMIC IS UP!

19 pages full color, each pre-order includes a gift.

Why preorder?
I don’t feel like relying on my college funding stash and I don’t feel like Kickstarter for a list of reasons. I am currently holding a ‘preorder’ special where you can get a little extra bonus ordering now than later (sticker and/or a postcard print).

This comic is ALREADY completed and printed in an anthology, but I want the individual copy because then I can sell my comic cheaper, and I need a more up-to-date comic for a certain art show I want to enter in (my last self-published comic was more than four years old and does not qualify). The problem is that I would like a set of printed ones for my partner who is the colorist, and she lives across the globe in AUSTRALIA. In addition, I need the money to purchase envelopes and sleeves for them, and also need factor shipping/handling costs—THAT ADDS UP.

I hope you guys can help out by spreading the word or even *gasp* purchasing a copy yourself.
For more info on what you can get, please click this link and click on one of the pre-orders and see if you’re interested

If you really want high activity and Traffic, then you might want to Try Christian Anime Alliance. The forum isn’t very pretty to look at and needs an overhaul but if your looking for a website that has some activity for you to post a reply, then CAA is for you. THey also got probably the biggest review list for anime through a Christian lense.I wish they have a better feed on all these websites, but if are just attentive enough but certainly the good content wont stop you from going to this site.Sign up today @http://www.christiananime.net/

FEATURE THIS! Actually admittingly this is the first site I was looking for as my first official Christian art website. Originally the formal was pretty much simular to CCAS, but the website has just been transformed to as a nice layout with just blogger tips on how to be an artist and Christian. I love the layout, but it kind of just lost the social networking pretty much. But in a gain, I really want to read the tips from them.
Since the Grove for me personally is gear to generally artist and nerds, I kind of abadoned the website a bit and was more interested in finding the nerd type and I found CCAS.  But if you need some general artist tips, then the grove may help out alot. Probably comparable as another blog site. And also apparently its a retreat for Christian Artist, so, maybe one day I might visit there. So giving its actually a website for an Christian Artist Retreat is actually something worth Giving attention to. We need all the support for the modern media we can get and having painting retreat can foster us artist in the entertainment industry.Give their support at:http://thegrovecenter.org/the-grove-retreat-center

This is a website that I have known for probably the longest time out of anyone: Christian Comic Art Society.

I remeber meet up with these guys the year I went to Comic con and attend two of those panels. It a small community but they are very inviting and willing. Ive met one girl who loves the Aquabats and Yo Gabba.

Its smooth running and alot of text, and small community, but with more people and time, perhaps it will be better. I think though the design is fine enough. It is also a social network for artist so its like facebook with a little deviant art to it.

Find CCAS on their website:

Raven from That So Raven and the Bill Cosby Show is in my class. She pick me to paint me, and I did the same. I pretty much did this in two nights and really risked making this more colorful. I wasn’t sure if I was allowed, but Raven, and my teacher, Henry Yan love it. My color pallet is based off of thinking orange blue, but wondering if red and pink would work, but figured it out using adobe Kuler. It does work out nicely. 4.bp.blogspot.com/_svQZrtFh-H4…I think Impasto is my favorite technique since you can mimic layering with acrylics, and you can get less Muddy Colors.Inspiration is drawing from 16th Century art history class learning about Impasto and  also as well as Zimou tan, Web Academy on Oil painting,  learning about alla primaand researching many artists  on google and youtube, before attempting this result. Hey guys. Long time no see. I want to do alot of website features that is geek and Christian related. Its needed to be known since many christians need to understand pop culture and foster the community better.  I was planning to do two at a time, but since I have only seen like around 5 or 6, Ill do a feature each week. It will be auto updated.

First up is Geek’s Under Grace. I love the webdesign, as its a clean formatted webpage. It isn’t just a full of text, its design so its attractive modern and clean. Its formally known as Cross Console Gamers, but you can still check Cross Console Gamers on Facebook.

Its basically a subculture of Relevant, another Modern Christian website I can probably do a feature later. And its basically it, a website that does articles and reviews about anything in nerdy pop culture on FB. What really got me was anime and video games were in there. So I am on the site signed up for it. I also give credit to my friend’s page since she seem to post alot from that site.

One warning is the site is very slow to load, not too much content as other websites, and there is barely any community in it, but I think with time and more people, they can get better support for their site.  One thing you can do right now is buy a shirt and when 50 hits, those will be entered into a raffle for a free video game.
